At Il Tartufo di Massimo, we take great care to provide you with the highest quality truffles and truffle products. However, it’s important to understand the nature of our products:

Fresh Truffles

• Fresh truffles are a natural product. Like meat, fruit, or vegetables, they change in appearance, texture, and flavour after a few days due to natural processes.
• Customers are required to store fresh truffles in the fridge at 4–5°C, preferably in a glass container or an egg carton. Do not store them in rice, as this can affect moisture levels.
• If you experience any issues with fresh truffles — such as quality problems or the presence of worms — you must contact us within 24 to 48 hours of receiving your order.
• In order to receive a refund, we kindly ask that the affected truffles be returned to us for inspection.

Truffle Products (Preserved)

• All preserved truffle products come with an expiration date on the label.
• Once opened:
  
  • White truffle sauce should be consumed within 7 days and kept refrigerated.
  • Black truffle sauce can be kept for up to 3 weeks in the fridge after opening.
  • Truffle oil and truffle honey do not need to be refrigerated after opening.
